Bangkok Travel is diverse

Bangkok is where Thai Travel  starts

Bangkok is a metropolis with spectacular perspectives of lifestyle travel nightlife & shopping +.

The Thai capital is also known by its local name "Krung Thep" which means “City of Angels” and amazing there are thousands of them in the nightlife scene. That became an exotic holiday entertainment and shopping destination with interesting cultural and historical blend of tourism.

The city is every year listed within the most sought-after holiday travel destinations in the world. Travelers to Bangkok also having fun at day trips to the Floating Market,
actually, there are several. The most popular day tour in Bangkok is visiting temples and pagodas in the old Siam capital of Ayutthaya

Travelers enjoy the bus/train tour to the River Kwai Bridge in Kanchanaburi. Experiencing soft adventure at the close-by  Erawan Falls which are some of the most spectacular in the country plus amazing pictures and videos.

Road travel with the coach

The bus is probably the best transportation option in the country. There are various vehicles used for, the biggest are double-decker buses including an on-board toilet, next are the single level plus vans and minibusses.

This is the best travel version in the country if you have enough time, e.g. 12 hours from Phuket to Bangkok (Baht 640,-), 7 hours to Hat Yai (Baht 400,-) 5 to Ranong (Baht 260,-), 4 to Krabi, about 14 to Pattaya and so on. What makes this especially attractive are the low prices which come from fierce competition. When looking into train and bus travel the winner is clear.

A typical case how the corruption and lying plus cheating was the procurement and recent delivery of gas city buses from China where some particular Chinese were so clever to declare the buses as made in Malaysia (because of the free trade zone ASEAN which means no import duties) so they held over 400 buses for Bangkok at custom and only released them after import duties were paid. This procedure according to the law only happens because the military government won't allow it.

The double-decker seems to be a copy of an old German model from around 20 years ago but they are working well and are comfortable. There have been a couple of accidents because they copy something but don't know about the use.

They used this monster on small mountain roads which can't go well since they are designed for the long distance highway. It is a continuous problem that people are using anything which is possible but doesn't understand that at certain times it should not be used.

There are the coaches and vans but much more cars naturally. Public transportation is not everywhere and if they are they always leave from different places and every one of them pretend not to know where another is leaving in the hope you will take their service although it might need a half day wait and the other leave in an hour, they won't tell.

When traveling to anywhere else it needs to get to the main north-south highway which is a few km east of the city there are stations from different companies have their vehicles stop, needs a taxi but usually, the driver also has no idea where these offices really are or is pretending it

When traveling to anywhere else it needs to get to the main north-south highway which is a few km east of the city there are stations from different companies have their vehicles stop, needs a taxi but usually, the driver also has no idea where this office really are.

As an example here is a petrol station rest stop in the south.

I heard the music even about 100 meters off and only one small window was open. I guess everyone sitting in this vehicle will be deaf after one hour and they even had kids in this apocalyptic noise.

Thailand road travel from Hat Yai to Penang

With the monster coach from Phuket to Hat Yai

This is one of the bigger coaches from Phuket to Hat Yai, they have dozens of them on the highway between the two main cities in the south. It's always amazing

Here is Hat Yai Main Bus Terminal

The main coach terminal in Hat Yai is the biggest in the south, but as usual, there are many other everyone makes another one and nobody cooperates again with the other. The only ones who keep contact between them are the motorbike taxis who know where they are. On top of it, every bus operator to Malaysia has it's own station and there is another coach operator with smaller buses to Phuket opposite the Tesco Lotus Mall. Closely is another van terminal where they connect the whole south a bit faster. Now there are travel agencies scattered in the city having one van and leaving to anywhere when they manage to fill this small thing where they push 12 people into it, read more.
